We have two events scheduled for the balance of the year:
- Wed, October 15th Lunch and Learn, detailed below. This will be followed by a special Chapter Board meeting to welcome Chapter members wishing to join the Executive Board. If any current member is interested in joining the Board please notify me or any Executive Board member below.
- Thurs, December 4th Holiday Lunch and Learn to be held at the Postal Museum. Stay tuned for details.
Wed, October 15, 2014, 11:00am to 1:30pm - We are truly excited to have our own Floyd Creecy to share his knowledge and experience for this Fall Membership Lunch and Learn Meeting and Networking event. It will be held at: HeiTech Services Inc., 8400 Corporate Drive, Suite 500, Landover MD, 20785. NOTE: There is a time and agenda change to allow for the presentation before lunch.
PRESENTATION: “Coach for Success” - Participants will be introduced to coaching and five strategies to engage and increase team performance. In addition to learning how to identify opportunities the coaches will learn how to raise awareness and build responsibility in team members. Effective coaching leads to higher levels of engagement and better results. Highly engaged team members are more productive, feel more valued and produce better outcomes. Teams that demonstrate empowerment and accountability are champions.
SPEAKER: Floyd C. Creecy, PMP, ITILv3, EMCM, MDC is currently the Business Processing and Information Technology Services Manager for HeiTech Services, Inc. and the National Mail and Project Manager for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) contract. Floyd possesses 18 years of management, 14 years of Mail management, and 6 years of project management experience, building fervent teams through strong leadership, effective planning, and communication. He is a polished motivational speaker, trainer, mentor, business owner, and pastor. His goal is to build a legacy that lives through others by preparing the future generation with the knowledge and wisdom of his past. In addition, Floyd currently serves as the VP of Membership for the Washington DC Metro Chapter of the MSMA (Mail Systems Management Association) and is a board member of the Northern Virginia Postal Customer Council (NOVA PCC). He is a frequent speaker at MAILCOM, MSMA chapter, PCC, and industry events. He possesses a Bachelor in Business Management, and holds certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Executive Mailroom Center Management (EMCM), and Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC).
