DEALING WITH THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM    

We all have experienced an obvious topic, person, or issue which everyone present is aware of, but doesn’t feel comfortable discussing. So everyone ignores and acts as if they don’t see, or are unaware of the problem.  Moments in our personal and professional lives, we are confronted with difficult issues and conversations that need to be discussed to resolve – the elephant in the room.

We will discuss the essentials of communication skills for healthy relationships and explore communicating about tough issues. You will be provided with strategies to help you foster effective communication skills.      

Additionally people will not agree about everything we communicate all the time. In and of itself, conflict is not necessarily a negative thing. When handled constructively it can empower people. However, if conflict is handled poorly it can intensify the problem. A tool chest will be unlocked for you to select the needed tools to deal with conflict in a constructive manner.
