U.S. Postal Service Pricing, Regulations and Legislation – What to Expect in 2016

   
Please mark your calendar for Monday, May 9, 2016 for a MSMA lunch meeting hosted at American Modern Insurance Group.  This is the Ohio Valley MSMA’s first meeting of 2016.
 
Our speaker will be Mr. Paul Kovlakas, Vice President of Marketing and MTAC representative for MSMA national. He is a regular speaker at MAILCOM.
   
He serves as Director, Postal of Regulatory & Industry Affairs on the US Government & Regulatory Affairs team at Pitney Bowes.  Paul represents business stakeholder’s and client’s concerns to the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and helps them understand anticipated and announced postal priorities and requirements so that they can plan, decide and strategize more effectively. 
   
The USPS removed its exigent surcharge on mailing products services in April.  On April 10, prices for First-Class Mail, Standard Mail and Periodicals decreased by 4.1%.  Please join Paul Kovlakas, who will discuss the removal of the surcharge and its impact.  You’ll also receive insight into this year’s USPS mailing promotions, and hear about the Postal Regulatory Commission’s upcoming review of the ratemaking process and the impact it will have for our industry.  Your paid registration qualifies you for a giveaway at the meeting.

I-275 East to Exit 65, Ohio Pike/Beechmont Ave.  Go East on Ohio Pike/Beechmont (Lowes).  About 5 miles turn left onto Bach-Buxton Rd and then turn right onto Midland Blvd (near Fire Station).  Follow to end and turn left (2nd building).  Visitor parking is located along the right side of the 2nd building.  Report to Security Desk in the lobby.
