Personal Safety, Carjacking, Burglary...

Learn from the Experts!

 

This presentation will focus on various topics including carjacking, burglary to motor vehicles, personal safety, and car safety. Including a high-level overview of crime and what we can do to deter and avoid being burglarized. Our presenter are two of Oak Brook’s finest; Officer Yager and Sergeant Foltyniewicz from the Oak Brook Police Department will share best practices.

 

Officer Catherine Yager has served with the Village of Oak Brook as a police officer since 2002. During her career she was assigned to the Investigations Unit from 2008-2017 where she investigated hundreds of cases with a specialty in crimes relating to children and the elderly.  Officer Yager is currently assigned to the Support Service Division where her responsibilities include: Liaison to Butler School District 53, Social Services Coordinator, Juvenile Officer Program Manager and Restorative Justice Coordinator. Katie regularly provides presentations to the community on a wide range of topics to include Violence Prevention and Active Threat Response.

 

Officer Reid Foltyniewicz, an Administrative Sergeant with the Oak Brook Police Department. Officer Reid started his career in 2006 with the City of Oakbrook Terrace. Transferring over to the village of Oak Brook in 2007. Officer Reid spent eight (8) years as a Patrol Officer, four (4) years as a Detective, and four (4) years as a Sergeant. His current duties include supervising the Records Division, Accreditation Manager, and Support Services.
