Our presenter for this Webinar will be Tamiara Rhodes
Tamaira Rhodes is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in logistics, operations, and employee development. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Distribution Services at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (PSOM), Tamaira leads a team of twenty-one staff members across five key operational areas: biohazardous waste removal, event support, lab and medical grade alcohol distribution, mail services, and shipping and receiving. Her strategic vision and leadership have transformed Distribution Services into a model of efficiency and innovation, supporting over 6,600 staff and 2,588 students across fourteen buildings.
Tamaira’s professional journey is marked by her commitment to continuous improvement and educational advancement. She holds a Master of Liberal Arts (2023) and an Advanced Certificate in Creative Writing (2021) from the College of Liberal & Professional Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Management (2006) and a Master of Business Administration (2005), both from Wilmington University. Her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences provides her with the necessary education in understanding how people behave and interact with one another. Her academic achievements are complemented by her extensive hands-on experience in various roles, from managing complex logistics operations to developing and delivering professional training workshops.
Under her leadership, Distribution Services received the 2023 MSMA “Office Services Center of the Year Award” at the MAILCOM Conference. Individually, Tamaira was recognized as the 2024 recipient of MSMA’s “National Manager of the Year Award.”
Tamaira has been presenting professionally for over 20 years and is widely recognized as an industry expert in Mail Services and Shipping & Receiving. In 2024, she received her Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC) certification through MSMA. She currently serves as the Director of OSPC Certification on the MSMA Board of Directors, contributing to the development of industry standards and certification programs.
